Definition Of Quick Connectors

Mar 01, 2026

Quick couplers (also known as quick connectors) are industrial accessories designed to enhance the efficiency of replacing work implements. They are primarily categorized into two types: mechanical and hydraulic. Their core function is to facilitate the rapid exchange of excavator attachments-such as digging buckets and hydraulic breakers-or to connect pipelines within liquid-cooling systems. This capability reduces changeover times to mere seconds while simultaneously expanding the functional versatility of the equipment.

The product consists of several key components, including a main bracket, movable locking blocks, and hydraulic cylinders. Hydraulic models achieve rapid detachment by utilizing a hydraulic cylinder to drive hook-shaped clamps that engage and lock onto the attachment's pins; mechanical models, conversely, employ pin- or screw-based locking mechanisms. Pneumatically controlled quick couplers offer 360-degree rotational adjustment capabilities. Furthermore, a dual-redundancy safety design-incorporating both hydraulic pilot-operated check valves and mechanical locking mechanisms-prevents the accidental detachment of attachments during operation.

The product's scope of application spans excavators ranging from 3 to 45 tons; additionally, it serves as a critical connecting component within liquid-cooling systems for AI servers (such as the NVIDIA GB300). China has officially released the national standards GB/T 22076-2024, *Pneumatic Cylindrical Quick Couplers*, and GB/T 40565.2-2025, *Hydraulic Fluid Power Connections-Quick-Action Couplings-Part 2: Flat-Face Type*.
